Update 2/09/08: The CD rates have fallen. Please check the credit union's website for the latest rates.
Envision Credit Union is offering a 5.02% APY on its certificate for terms of 45 to 51 months. The minimum deposit is $500, and the early withdrawal penalty is 182 days. This is also available as an IRA CD. More details are listed in the rate table.
I did the online chat with the credit union rep yesterday and confirmed that this rate is still available. The CSR said that rate changes usually occur on Wednesdays, so this rate will hopefully last at least for the next few days.
Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, Wakulla, Liberty or Franklin County. You can also be eligible to join through your businesses or organization. Please refer to their How-to-Join page for more details. Membership requires a one-time $2 fee and a minimum deposit of $25 in the share savings account.
Branches are located in Tallahassee, Crawfordville and Quincy, Florida. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 67329). It has $192.8 million in assets and 32,740 members.
