Ent Credit Union (CO) Substantially Raises 30-35 Month Priority CD Rate
Ent Credit Union (Ent CU) has substantially raised the rate on its 30-35 month Priority Certificate, adding 65 bps. Currently earning 1.00% APY, the 30-35 month Priority Certificate can be opened with a $5k minimum deposit, with no stated balance cap.
The 30-35 month Priority Certificate is also offered as a Priority IRA Certificate (Traditional, Roth, and CESA), earning the same APY with the same deposit requirements.
In addition to offering a competitive rate, the Priority Certificate features three advantageous options. As stated in the fine print on the Certificates page, a Priority Certificate,
Allows a member to change the dividend rate once during the term to the current Priority Certificate Rate.
Allows the member to add to the certificate once within the first year with an additional minimum deposit of $1,000.
Allows the member a one-time withdrawal of up to 50% of the current balance during the term without an early withdrawal penalty.
As stated in the Certificate Agreement document, the Early Withdrawal Penalty reads as follows:
If the maturity of this certificate is more than one (1) year but less than thirty-six (36) months, the early withdrawal penalty is one hundred eighty (180) days forfeiture of dividends.
According to CSR, the easiest way to fund a Certificate is through an internal transfer of funds. Ent CU participates in the CO-OP Shared Branch network, allowing for a relatively simple way to transfer funds into an Ent CU checking or savings account. Maturing funds can be distributed by check to the address on file, by wire, or transferred to an Ent CU checking or savings account. The grace period before a certificate automatically renews is short – only six calendar days.
