Goldenwest Credit Union (UT) Adds Limited-Time 11-Month CD, 3.05% APY
Now through February 28, Goldenwest Credit Union (Goldenwest CU) is offering a 11-month CD Special (3.05% APY). The minimum opening deposit is $500, with new money required. There is a bump option available, but with a 15 bps discount (2.90% APY) at account opening.
The 33-month CD Special (3.10% APY) can also be opened with a new money $500 minimum deposit. There is a one-time bump option, but unlike the 11-month CD Special, no discount is required to exercise the bump option. The 33-month CD Special is listed as a “limited-time offer,” but according to CSR, no definite end-date has been set.
According to CSR, the Early Withdrawal Penalty for the 11-month CD Special is 60 days of dividends, and 180 days of dividends for the 33-month CD Special.

Availability
Headquartered in Ogden, Utah, Goldenwest Credit Union’s field of membership (FOM) is primarily residency-based, with individuals who live, work, worship, attend school, or volunteer in Salt Lake County or Weber County eligible to join.
In addition, residents of portions of Cache, Davis, Utah, and Washington Counties also qualify for membership.
Employees, volunteers, students, and alumni of many SEGs companies (including Utah State University, Intermountain Healthcare, and SelectHealth) are eligible for membership.
Immediate family members (defined as parent, child, sibling, spouse, grandparent, step- and adoptive relationship) of current Goldenwest CU, USU Credit Union, and/or Healthcare Credit Union members are membership eligible. (About two years ago, Goldenwest CU completed a merger with Salt Lake City-based Health Care Credit Union, adding over 7,600 members and $76 million in assets.)

Joining Goldenwest CU can be done online or at any of 40 Utah branches located in Bountiful, Brigham City, Centerville, Clearfield, Clinton, Farmington, Herriman, Kaysville, Layton, Lehi, Logan (4), Marriott Slaterville, Morgan, Murray (3), Ogden (6), Orem, Providence (2), Riverton, Roy, Saint George (2), Salt Lake City (2), Sandy (2), Smithfield, South Jordan, West Jordan, and West Valley.
Opening a CD Special must be done in-branch, at any of the above mentioned full-service branches.
