I just opened a new membership with Liberty FCU right at the period of their name change from Evansville Teachers FCU. The account opening process was simple and the only changes that have happened to the account since I opened it, was that the rate went up even more! For those that are complaining about a soft pull on their credit, it is completely understood as a security issue for the credit union. I will not open an account anywhere if they require a hard pull on my credit, as that is the only one that counts against you.

The only issue I have is the Equifax credit (soft) pull for application. Totally unnecessary.
Yet another credit union that requires you to unfreeze your credit so they can do a soft pull on it. Not sure why they are requiring time for deposit accounts. I was really interested in moving my HSA and checking to them, but I don't allow pulls on my credit. I asked them on Facebook why they do this and their answer to me was to just delete my comment. Yup, there is some real customer service..
Also, POD accounts are only allowed when the POD is also a member. Strange rules. No Totten Trust either.
Started the loan process and needed documents for self employment. Than she stopped answering emails. Because most of the nitwits like Alyssa Pinkston who cant do the math wne it comes to dealing with self business owners.
SO i guess her best way to admit she cant do basic math with 1099 is to ignore your email.
Good way to do business to people who need a place to stay. total ignorance,. If you have self employment, DO NOT USE THEM. NOBODY IN INDIANA can do the math. Back to school Alyssa!
