The 36-month CD is available as an IRA (Traditional, Roth, CESA), earning the same APY with the same funding requirements.
As stated in the Rates Schedule, the Early Withdrawal Penalty reads as follows:
If you desire a withdrawal of principal prior to maturity you may be required to furnish the Credit Union a 30-day notice of intent to withdraw and we may impose an early withdrawal penalty.
On CDs with a maturity term greater than 35 months, the penalty is 270 days' interest or the interest earned on the principal amount withdrawn, whichever is less.

There are five rate tiers based on deposit levels,
To help you start saving more, you begin at the highest interest rate,
earning an incredible 3.00% APY on balances up to $2,499.99.
The current rate tiers are,
- 3.00% APY – Up to $2.5k
- 1.98% APY – $2.5-$5k
- 1.00% APY – $5k-$25k
- 0.50% APY – $25k-$50k
- 0.25% APY – $50k
Unitus provides a Go Savings Calculator that “automatically distributes your deposit amount into the appropriate tiers.” Obviously, the larger the balance, the smaller the blended APY, but a $5k balance does earn a blended 2.50% APY. The following balances/blended APYs were generated by the Go Savings Calculator.
- $10k – 1.75% APY
- $15k – 1.50% APY
- $20k – 1.38% APY
- $25k – 1.30% APY
- $50k – 0.90% APY
