University of Kentucky FCU Celebrates With Special CD Rates
University of Kentucky Credit Union (UKFCU) is celebrating the opening of its sixth branch (Tate Creek) with limited-time special rates on three CDs: 1-year (1.25% APY), 2-year (1.55% APY), and 3-year (1.80% APY). The minimum opening deposit is $1k with no balance cap, and the dividends are paid annually.
All three CDs have been part of UKFCU’s product line since early 2011, with the current celebratory rates being the highest APYs in that 5-year history.
As stated at the bottom of the Rates page, the Early Withdrawal Penalty reads as follows:
Penalty is 90 days interest for terms up to 18 months.
Penalty for terms two years or greater is 180 days interest.
In addition to the NCUA insurance coverage on funds up to $250k, Excess Share Insurance Corporation insures funds up to an additional $250k.

The highlighted area of the map roughly includes the northern half of Lexington inside the beltway and northwest Fayette County.
