The credit union has branches through out Florida including the cities of Port Charlotte, Ocala, Crystal River, Hudson, Lake City, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Jasper, Lakeland, Brandon, Tampa, Sarasota, Bradenton and Lake Mary. There are also branches in New Orleans, Louisiana and Portland, Maine.

Another nice feature of this CD is that you can add to it during the term in increments of $100. Refer here for details.

I stopped into the downtown Tampa branch to find out about the add to it option. The CR stated that you COULD NOT add on to this CD. Please stop by a branch should you want to open a CD and verify.

I spoke to a CSR this past Monday through the 800 number listed on their site. She stated that you could "add on" to the 12 month CD and that there was no maximum limit. I am waiting for my application in the mail and will verify this info one more time before I open the CD.

Many thanks for checking that info. As it happened, the CSR at downtown Tampa was wrong and had given me the wrong information. A supervisor advised that you CAN add-on to this high rate CD. I opened my accounts with GTE on 04-20. Cheers! :)
