Advantage Plus Federal Credit Union (Advantage Plus FCU) has been offering Kasasa brand products for more than five years. The Kasasa Cash account currently earns 3.00% APY on qualifying balances up to $25k. Qualifying balances over $25k earn 0.25% APY, with non-qualifying balances earning 0.05% APY.
Since June 2015, the Kasasa Cash account has had four rate increases, adding a total of 95 bps to the initial 2.05% APY. The 3.00% APY has been in effect for the last nine months.
The monthly qualification requirements consist of,
- At least 12 debit card purchases
- At least one direct deposit, ACH payment, or ACH credit
- Be enrolled in and review e-Statements
- Be enrolled in and log into online banking
The Kasasa Cash Checking account has no minimum balance requirement, no monthly service fee, and no minimum opening deposit. Nationwide ATM fees will be reimbursed up to a total of $25 per month, if qualification requirements are met. Receipts for ATM fees of $5 must be presented within 30 calendar days of transaction date to be reimbursed. Unlimited checking writing is available and a free Mastercard® debit card will be issued following account opening. There is a limit of one account per Social Security number. A Kasasa Cash account is required to have a Kasasa Saver account.
Advantage Plus FCU’s Kasasa Saver account earns 1.00% APY on qualifying balances up to $30k. Qualifying balances over $30k earn 0.25% APY, with non-qualify balances earning 0.05% APY.
Earned rewards from a Kasasa Cash or Kasasa Cash Back account are automatically transferred to the linked Kasasa Saver every month. The Kasasa Saver has no minimum balance requirement, no monthly service fee, and no minimum opening deposit. There is a limit of one account per Social Security number.
Annual Earnings of Combined Kasasa Cash/Kasasa Saver Accounts
The potential combined annual earnings of the Kasasa Cash (3.00% APY/$25k) and the Kasasa Saver (1.00% APY/$30k) is approximately $1,050 (1.91% APY/$55k).
Kasasa Cash Back
The Kasasa Cash Back account offered by Advantage Plus FCU earns 3.00% cash back on debit card purchases, limited to the first $300 of monthly purchases. If you are planning on maintaining a balance under $3,600, the Kasasa Cash Back account would probably be a better deal than the Kasasa Cash account; the maximum annual earnings for the Kasasa Cash Back account is $108 ($9 per month).

member may not be enrolled in both accounts.

Headquartered in Pocatello, Idaho, Advantage Plus Federal Credit Union’s field of membership (FOM) is residency-based, with individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in the Idaho counties of Bannock, Bear Lake, Caribou, Franklin, or Power, or Lincoln County in Wyoming, eligible for membership.
According to the Join Us page, anyone who is related to a current Advantage Plus FCU member is membership-eligible.
Joining Advantage Plus FCU and/or opening a Kasasa brand product can be done online, or at any of seven Idaho branches located in American Falls, Chubbuck, Montpelier, Pocatello (2), Preston, and Soda Springs. Advantage Plus FCU also has a Wyoming branch, located on South Washington Street in Afton.
$100 minimum initial deposit is required for online applications. If you are not a current member of Advantage Plus Federal Credit Union, $5.00 of the initial funding amount will be used to open a Regular Share Savings account and $5.00 will be used for a one-time membership fee which are also requirements for membership.
Advantage Plus FCU participates in the CO-OP Shared Branch and ATM Networks, giving its members access to nearly 30,000 ATMS and more than 5,000 shared branches across the country.

Advantage Plus Federal Credit Union was founded in 1953 as the Pocatello Westvaco Employees Federal Credit Union. The original FOM included the employees of Pocatello Westvaco, the world’s largest elemental phosphorus producing facility. Between 1958 and 2002, the Credit Union experienced one merger, two name changes, and six FOM expansions. Advantage Plus FCU is currently the twelfth largest credit in Idaho, with more than 19,000 members and assets in excess of $194 million.
