Sooper Credit Union's 20-Month CD Offers "Sooper" 3.00% APY
Sooper Credit Union (Sooper CU) is currently offering three shorter-term CDs Specials (15-, 17-, and 20-month), with the 20-month having the most competitive rate – 3.00% APY. The minimum opening deposit is $500, with essentially no maximum deposit (Sooper CU lists a max of $99,999,999.99). Unlike Sooper CU’s regular CDs that have tiered APYs, the 20-month CD Special earns 3.00% APY on all deposit levels.
The CD Specials are also available as IRAs, (Traditional and Roth), earning the same APYs with the same funding requirements.
As stated on the Sooper CD Rate page, the Early Withdrawal Penalty reads as follows:
If a CD product is redeemed prior to the date of
maturity, the penalty assessed is 90 days of interest.
According to CSR, no partial withdrawals are allowed, only early closures.
