HAPO Community CU Increases Rates on 3-, 4- and 5-Year CDs

Washington State Residents and Residents of Umatilla County, OregonYesterday, Washington State’s HAPO Community Credit Union (HAPO) raised the rates on three of its Certificate Accounts (CDs):
3-Year CD (1.70% APY), 4-Year CD (2.00% APY), and 5-Year CD (2.50% APY)
The minimum deposit for all three CDs is $5K, with no maximum balance cap.
All three CDs are also available as IRAs (Traditional, Roth and CESA) at the same APYs, with the same funding requirements.
As stated on the Certificate Accounts page, the Early Withdrawal Penalty is as follows:

Terms of 24-36 months – 180 days dividends Terms of 48 months – 270 days dividends Terms of 60 months or more – 365 days dividends
Availability
HAPO Community Credit Union offers membership to individuals who live, work, worship or attend school in Washington State, or live and/or work in Umatilla County in Oregon State. If you have a relative who is a member or is eligible to become a member, you also qualifying for membership.
Joining HAPO can be done online,, by mail, or by visiting any of 13 Washington branches located in Richland (3), Kennewick (3), Pasco (2), Sunnyside, Walla Walla and Yakima (3), or the single Oregon branch in Hermiston. HAPO’s Membership Application is available for download to facilitate the application process. (N.B. If you are under 18, you must open your account at a branch location.)
HAPO’s Internet Banking services are limited to account management and bill payment, and opening a CD requires a branch visit.
