Kansas City Credit Union Has Top-Rate 60-Month CD
Kansas City Credit Union (KCCU) is currently offering 3.00% APY on its 60-month CD. The minimum opening deposit is $500, with no stated balance cap.
While banks may be quick to respond to rate environment changes, many credit unions seem to take a more measured approach, almost seeming to lag in their response time. This lag-time can provide a window of opportunity, allowing you to lock into a very competitive CD rate before the credit union eventually lowers its rates.
According to CSR, the Early Withdrawal Penalty is 12 months of interest, but only early closures are permitted – no partial withdrawals.
