Citizens Community Credit Union (Citizens Community CU) began the month by introducing three limited-time Lifestyle CDs, with “the flexibility to choose a maturity date for each CD term that is offered.” You can choose any term between 5 months and 3 years, and the rates ranged between 1.10% APY and 1.55% APY.
Of the three Lifestyle CDs, the 280 to 912 Days (1.55% APY) is the most competitive. (In case you don’t want to do the math, Citizens Community CU calculates 280 to 912 days to equal 9 months to 2.5 years.) This Lifestyle CD will automatically rollover to a 30-month CD if you do not withdraw the funds within 10 days of maturity.
According to CSR, the Early Withdrawal Penalty for each Lifestyle CD is tiered and dependent on the maturity date chosen.
Citizens Community CU’s Kasasa Cash has been earning 3.00% APY on qualifying balances up to $25k for almost three years. Qualifying balances of $25k+ earn 0.25% APY, with non-qualifying balances earning 0.01% APY.
