Mountain Commerce Bank (TN) Celebrates 100 Years With Savings Rate Guarantee
In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Mountain Commerce Bank (MCB) is offering its Century Gold Savings account (1.05% APY) with a rate guarantee through December 31, 2016.
This promotional offer is for new MCB Century Gold Savings account customers and requires a minimum opening deposit of $100 that must be new money. The fine print on the promotion page states, "Funds deposited must be new money to MCB," but I confirmed with CSR that the new money restriction applies only to the $100 minimum opening deposit.
The Century Gold Savings account has no monthly service fees, but a $2 fee will be applied if there are more than six debits per quarter. Interest is compounded daily and posted quarterly.
Availability
Headquartered in Knoxville, Mountain Commerce Bank’s market area is defined as East Tennessee, including the counties of Knox, Washington, and Unicoi.
Opening a Century Savings Gold account (or any other MCB account) must be done in person at any of five Tennessee branches, located in Erwin, Johnson City, Knoxville (2), and Unicoi.
At this time, MCB’s online platform is devoted to bill payment services and account management.
