Scott Credit Union Unveils EPIC Checking
Illinois-based Scott Credit Union (SCU) recently introduced its EPIC Checking, a rewards checking account that offers tiered APYs. Qualifying balances up to $25k can earn either 4.05% APY (Upper Tier) or 3.05% APY (Middle Tier). Qualifying balances over $25k and non-qualifying balances both earn 0.25% APY.
There are only two qualifying requirements: receiving monthly statements electronically, and debit card usage, which also determines which APY applies to qualifying balances.
- 4.05% APY applies to monthly debit card transactions of at least $1,500
- 3.05% APY applies to monthly debit card transactions between $750 and $1,499
The EPIC Checking account has no monthly service fee, no minimum balance to earn rewards, and no minimum opening deposit. If qualifications are met, nationwide ATM fees up to a total of $10 will be reimbursed per statement cycle.
For every purchase you make with your EPIC Checking debit card, we will
donate a percentage to the Scott Credit Union Community Foundation.
Blues Checking
The only difference between the Blues Checking and EPIC Checking accounts is that a St. Louis Blues debit card and checks are offered exclusively with a Blues Checking account. You can also save 10% on Blues merchandise when using the Blues debit card at the STL Authentics Team Store at the Enterprise Center.
