How the CDs Compare
Given the Credit Union’s easy membership requirements, comparing SCCU’s CDs to nationally available CDs is apt. Therefore, when compared to other similar length of term CDs tracked by DepositAccounts.com, requiring a similar minimum deposit and available nationwide, Superior Choice Credit Union’s 25-month CD and 47-month CD are both competitive, with the 25-month CD especially so.
The above rates are accurate as of 2/24/2015.

Edit 2/25/15:Corrected account opening info.
But Ken, you said one has to go in in order to open a CD -- because you can't do that online. But, is there perhaps another way to do it other than going in, such as can you do it via mail? Or via fax? I have opened many an account via faxing in the past.
I note for readers: Membership in the Douglas County Historical Society costs $20.
