Texoma CCU Cashtastic Checking Competitive Rate Still In Effect
More than four years ago, I wrote about Texoma Community Credit Union’s (Texoma CCU) Ultimate Rewards Checking, which earned 3.51% APY on qualifying balances up to $10k. While that rate and balance cap are still in effect, the name of Texoma CCU’s reward checking account is now Cashtastic Checking. Qualifying balances over $10k earn 0.25% APY, with non-qualifying balances earning 0.05% APY.
The Cashtastic Checking monthly qualification requirements include,
- Have at least 10 signature-based or PIN-based debit card purchases (minimum $10 each)
- Have at least one direct deposit, one bill pay, or one ACH payment
- Be enrolled in and agree to receive E-Statements
The Cashtastic Checking account has no minimum balance requirement or monthly service fee, but there is a minimum $100 opening deposit requirement. Unlimited nationwide ATM fees will be reimbursed up to $10 per month, if qualify requirements are met. There is a limit of one Cashtastic Checking account per Social Security number.
Cash Back Checking
Texoma CCU’s Cash Back Checking account earns 3.00% cash back on debit card purchases, limited to the first $400 in monthly debit card purchases. If you are planning on maintaining a balance under $4,100, the Cash Back Checking account would probably be a better deal than the Cashtastic Checking account; the maximum annual earnings for the Cash Back Checking account is $144 ($12 per month).
