Wright-Patt Credit Union (OH) Adds 27-Month CD Special - EXPIRED
It’s been more than a year since Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU) offered any really competitive CDs. That changed last week with the addition of a 27-month Share Certificate Special with tiered APYs – 3.14% APY ($100k) and 3.04% APY ($500).
The 27-month Share Certificate Special is available as a “single deposit” IRA (Traditional and Roth), earning the same tiered APYs with the same funding requirements.
As stated in the Share Certificate Penalty Schedule, the Early Withdrawal Penalty reads as follows:
18 – 35 months - 6 months of dividends (whether paid or not)
WPCU participates in CO-OP Shared Branch program.
In addition to our convenient Member Center locations in Southwest and Central Ohio, Wright-Patt Credit Union has partnered with other credit unions and ATM providers nationwide to give you access to over 40,000 lower-to-no-fee ATMs and 5,300 shared branching locations.
Availability
Headquartered in Beavercreek, Ohio, Wright-Patt Credit Union’s field of membership (FOM) includes most residents of the Miami Valley area and Columbus, Ohio.
Residency: Individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in the Ohio counties of Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Licking, Madison, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Preble, Union, and Warren qualify for membership.
Employment: Employees of more than 1,200 SEGs (listed on the online application) are eligible to join.
Military Relationship: Military and civilian employees of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and military personnel residing in a 14-county area adjacent to the Fairborn area who do not have a credit union available, also qualify for membership.
Affiliation: Students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Wright State University are also membership eligible.
Family Relationship: Immediate family members of current WPCU membership are also welcome to apply.
Joining WPCU and/or opening a Share Certificate Special can be done online. If you prefer a brick-and-mortar experience, WPCU has 28 Ohio branches located in Beavercreek (2), Centerville (2), Cincinnati, Columbus (4), Dayton (5), Englewood, Fairborn (2), Huber Heights, Kettering, Norwood, Springboro, Springfield, Troy, Upper Arlington, Urbana, Wilmington, WPAFB, and Xenia.

Wright-Patt Credit Union was established in 1932 as the F.E.U. Local 148 Credit Union by federal employees at Wright Field (known today as Wright-Patterson Air Force Base).
