Wright-Patt Credit Union’s (WPCU) 15-month Share Certificate Exclusive is no longer available, but the Credit Union has just raised the rates on all its Share Certificates. Of the newly increased rates, the 6-11, 12-17, and 18-23 month Share Certificates have the most competitive rates.
In the past six months, WPCU has increased its CDs rates at least six times. While past performance is not necessarily a predictor of future outcomes, WPCU seems to be in “rising rates mode.”
All the Share Certificates are also offered as IRAs (Traditional), earning the same tiered APYs with the same funding requirements.
As stated in WPCU’s Share Certificate Disclosure, the Early Withdrawal Penalty reads as follows:
6 to 17 Months - 3 months of dividends (whether paid or not)
18 to 35 Months - 6 months of dividends (whether paid or not)
Special Patronage Dividend
WPCU is once again rewarding its members through its Special Patronage Dividend program. Members who are in good standing with an active account qualify to receive a dividend. The 2017 Special Patronage Dividend for 2017 was calculated based on usage of products and services that drive revenue or reduce expenses. The formula used to determine the payout can be found on the Dividend Calculation page.
On January 4th, we’re giving our members back $8 million! It’s called a Special Patronage Dividend and it rewards the people who use our services the most. Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU) will have given back more than $56 million to members since 2008!
