Community First Credit Union (CA) Adds Limited-Time 24-Month CD Special
The banner on the Community First Credit Union (CFCU) home page says it all:

Now through February 28, 2022, CFCU is offering a 24-month CD Special earning 1.22% APY. The minimum opening deposit is $1k, with no stated balance cap.
The 24-month CD Special is also available as an IRA CD Special (Traditional, Roth) earning the same APY with the same deposit requirements.
According to CSR, partial withdrawals are not allowed, only an early closure. The early withdrawal penalty is 1% of all accrued interest at the time of the early closure.
Funding can be done through ACH, wire transfer, or check. CFCU participates in the CO-OP Shared Branch network, making the transfer of funds relatively easy. Maturing funds will be distributed by cashier’s check or transferred into a CFCU savings/checking account. There is a 10 day grace period before a CD automatically renews.
Availability
Headquartered in Santa Rosa, California, Community First Credit Union’s field of membership (FOM) is community-based, with individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in the northern California counties of Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, or Sonoma eligible to join.
Immediate relatives of any one who qualifies for membership are also eligible join.
Joining CFCU and/or opening a CD Special must be done at any of the 11 northern California branches located in Clearlake, Fort Bragg, Guerneville, Healdsburg, Lakeport, Napa, Novato, Santa Rosa (2), Sebastopol, and Ukiah. Appointments are available and can be scheduled online. CFCU’s online banking platform is limited to account management and bill payment services.
