Tucson is a city in southern Arizona, only about 60 miles north of the Mexican border. Tucson has a population of about 525,000 people, making it the second-largest city in Arizona after Phoenix. Its wider metropolitan area is home to nearly one million people. Notable cities in the region include Green Valley, Nogales, Oro Valley, Sierra Vista, Benson, Bisbee, Douglas, Marana, and Willcox.
Tucson is home to the University of Arizona, and education is one of the city's top industries. Government, technology, and healthcare are other major employers in town.
